PLAY ON PEDALS

Play on Pedals is an initiative that provides the learning, skills and resources to promote cycling to children in early years settings in a fun and interactive way. Pre-school children will learn about the parts of a bicycle, how to fit a helmet correctly and the basics of looking after their bikes. Through a series of fun and imaginative activities, they will be helped to develop their balance and control skills, often using a pedal-less balance bike. All sessions and games are designed to support confidence, interactive learning and development of physical skills. Sam and Alison have undertaken the Play on Pedals training and balance bikes have been sourced with thanks to the assistance and advice from one of our parents. More information will follow as to when we will start the programme with the 3-5 children.
